Bet they say normal, I have VZ SV8 M6, maybe not same box or clutch but they are self adjusting and it may be about to self adjust soon. Mine is right at top of clutch travel before it engages now. Had car in at WA Performance last week having a Ripshift fitted and Mitch noted on a test drive mine maybe about to self adj.
Holden dealer service really try to avoid big warranty jobs, unless Technical Bulletin from factory about specific issues, otherwise they can't claim the warranty cost back.

mmmmm, I thought I was imagining things. Has this happened to anyone else.

As I was reversing and still rolling back a little I put it in 1st and it seemed like the clutch was nearly all the way out before it grabed and then stalled like it was in 3rd (possibly coud have been me and it could have been in third???). They said that stuff in uni would never effect me again!!! lol

well i took my car in to my dealer yesteday (tuesday 8th) and well they rang today and said that i wont get it back till next friday(18th). i have a V6 M6 and the gearbox is, well broken. its no longer possible to get second gear. my dealer said they would take it to Holden so they can pull it apart to c if its a 1 off or not.
pitty i need my car. 45bucks for a taxi to work is a bit pricy.

Should be demanding a loan car, should get for free as well. Every warranty service I've had done I get a loaner for free, I use my car for work. You need to kick up shit and make a lot of noise use reasons like kids walking to school in the rain, pregnant wife. If you don't ask you don't get.

    Cars got 65,000k's on it.

Car also gets abused, alot, at the strip and track.

The six clutch is a ****ed design, with the springs in the flywheel instead of the cluthc plate, which leads to it slipping itslef.

Mate its NOT a one off

Get him to ring Central Coast Holden and speak to PETER.

Tell Peter Ben Nurmi from Random Studios gave you his name

They repaced the box in my VZ 6, it did EXACTLY the same thing. THe AY6 is a SHIT gearbox, NOT rated to the power of the Alloytec 190. ANd the second gear syncro dies. (Aisin Warner say max is 150kw / 290nm of torque).
