The VE is only $39000+ on road if you can afford the extra that is the way I would go especially if you are going to keep it for a long time.
I'm sure you could do a better price on the VE.

Firstly are you trading in another vehicle,if so did they offer you a good trade
If your paying cash or can get a bank loan you can put preasure on the sales person to lower the price.
When i bought my berlina it was only 9 months old and had a price of $34,999,but as i had a vt to trade i was able to argue about the exchange price.First they offered me only $10,000 trade but after a couple of weeks of them chasing me i was able to only pay $22,000 because i told them thats was all i had to do a deal with.
When dealing with used car sales people you have to play them at their game.

Default No VE wagon

Thanks for the prompt reply.
As far as the VE Berlina goes, there is no wagon at all. There is only an Exec and Acclaim wagon. A series III i suppose, just like the VS model utes a few years ago.
I currently have a 01 VX exec with power windows, side airbags, 3rd row seat and cruise. Dealer has offered $10 500, which is about $2000 more than Mitsubishi and Nissan offered me for a $50 000 Pajero/Pathfinder. Car is 4 1/2 years old with 144 000kms on it. Could probably get $12000 for a private sale but i reakon by the time i get it road worthyed and detailed, i'm not losing that much. Also, i don't have the time to sell privately so i'm happy with that.
The VX is in great shape. I put it down to PULP and Optimax when i'm south of Rocky. Engine is in great shape and sounds as quiet as the day i bought it. I run it on Shell PULP and Vortex. BP PULP and Ultimate burns way quicker than the other 2. Close to a L/100 worse. Anyone else had that problem?

I brought my vz Berlina wagon 5 months ago at Gov. auction for $30800. It was 6 months old and had done 28000 kms with not even a stone chip, paid too much I have you say? Don`t care!
PS No VE wagon on market for next 12 months so couldn`t wait.

a september 2004 silver vz berlina wagon with 37,147km on it went for $25,400 sometime is the last 2 months

thats in adelaide. dealer prices are usually $4000-$5000 more than gov auction prices so the price you have is ok.

its personal but i would rather save the money and buy at an auction. you cant test drive which is a downer but that is a lot of money. all VZs are still in warranty so theres no advantage buying from a dealer there. what is the standard warranty on VZs? i thought it was still 3yrs or 100,000kms but it was proved to me by someone with a vz that they have 6 yrs or 175,000kms

My VZ has only 3 years 100 000 kms factory warranty but I think some dealers offer an extended warranty as an option.
