Stock Blaupunkt Head Unit
Hi All
Just wondering how many people are having/have had issues with the stock Blaupunkt head unit in the VZ.
The first one refused to play CD's so was replaced after about a year. Worked fine for a while but now the replacement drops power, loses time (all usually late afternoon/night), then magiaclly powers up again. Sometimes can be out for up to 5 hours. As is usually the case with these things, the dealer can never re-create the problem so It's going in for it's second visit in a week tomorrow.
Cheers

mine use to loose power all the time, skip cds, error reading non stop, not to mention the wafer thin, ****house korean speakers that come with. The best thing you can do for yourself is rip it out and put something decent in if you enjoy quality music.

Mine came up with 'CHECK DISC' this morning for the first time.
Has been skipping when playing tracks of recent.
It's going into Holden on Friday for a replacement accelerator unit.
Should I insist that they replace the unit??

it will fall under warranty, and they will prolly attempt to fix it, they did on mine thefirst time (front and rear speakers and headunit) then replaced front speakers and head unit second time.

It will have the distortion limiter thingy ma bob enabled
you know the options you get when you start the car....
you can enable a setting that will only allow the head unit to turn up to a give level before it wont allow you to turn it up further
ps:cant think of the 'technicle' names my brain is fried

Hey Guys.
That will be the "Dynamic Distortion Limiting" cutting in. As mentioned in previous posts, it allows the volume to increase to the point where clipping is about to begin, then won't increase the gain further regardless of how far you turn the knob. It can be turned off in the trip computer functions. (can't remember the exact procedure there, but it's the "DDL" option - just turn it off)
Cheerz!

Are people having probs with the Single disc unit, or the 6 stacker? Our Acclaim has the single disc unit and it works perfectly.
