Hi guys,
I have tried a search and didn't really find what I was looking for..
Are any of you guys with Auto VZ SS's able to tell me if they have the paddle shift or active select that the SV6 has ?
Cheers
u'll find only the vz sv6 and calais have the active select paddles
preety sure all ve 6 speed and 5 speed autos are tiptronic style
ohh yeh the vz ss like all the v8's in the vz's had the old 4 speed slush box
yeah, nah only sv6 and calias v6's have it oh and stato v6's.
no vz v8 has it
If you have tiptronic you can do the paddle shift conversion. I'm pretty sure Phreddy does them.
thanks guys,,
Why would you want to install paddles? I think they are a waste of time - cumbersome to find the A/S button in a hurry and slow to respond to multiple upshifts and downshifts. Also, the placement on the steering wheel makes it hard to use when in winding roads where the wheel is constantly off centre (hence so are the buttons).
I personally think that tiptronic (as in VE) is much more practical. Another practical idea is to still have the buttons mounted on the steering column but independant to the steeing wheel itself like the wiper and indicator controls are (I think the latest Mazda's have this feature).
Bit of a let down to an otherwise excellent package (VZ SV6 auto).
Hi i bought an SV6 2005 and the paddle shift button worked but now it stopped working. Does anyone know if i can fix it easily?
