Part identification

Hi would someone please be able to tell me what the round steel canister type thing behind the passenger side strut is?
It is bolted to a bracket and has one wire coming out of it (its not the HORN) my vz sedan has it but my vz ute i picked up the other day has not.

is it the thing that looks like a horn???

if so its your alarm. im assumeing you have a pov pack ute which only has a imboliser(which is normal)

This is the funny thing it is a poverty pack and shouldnt have a alarm but it does .I managed to set it off by winding down window and pulling up door lock and it came up on display as alarm activated passenger door?

Judging by your profile on rides, you state VZ 914 pack, so it's a police spec VZ used by the GD's, the police specs get extra goodies over the stocko exec

. I'm pretty sure as naf said it's the alarm.

This happened on my new vz ute i also have a VZ 914 expolice.
Have noticed the ute has twin horns just like my sedan up under the front bumper.
