To improve the life of your engine it is recommended to run premium unleaded with alloytecs

Adventra SX6 190kw 75l tank, mostly suburban driving on a good tank 13-14L/100 but can be around 16L/100 the more time I spend near the city.

Trip to Albury and back yielded only 550km per tank (took about 68 litres to fill). She likes the taste of it that's for sure...

Just got back from Brisbane , left on wednesday morning at 4-30 am QLD time with a full tank $1-27 a litre unleaded, i refueled just before Newcactle as the warning low fuel was flashing even though it showed i had only used 54 litres
and i was averaging 7.7 litres per 100 and i wasn't driving slow doing just over the speed limit all the way.
By the time i got home i had done 1002 km and used 78 litres not too bad for a v/6, i would of got a lot better but i struck sydney at peak hour when i exited the F3 about and it took me about 1 hr to get to Penrith in slow traffic all up it took me 11 hrs and 45 minutes .

VY SS series1 manual, not sure how big the tank is, but if i run it into the red on the fuel gauge it takes about 60L of fuel. I fill it with 98 octante. Anywhere between 350-450km, some city some freeway. About 15L-18L per 100km.

Very impressive figures. The V6 loves been driven on long trips with fuel economy to boot and I would rather that for reliability than a 4 cylinder any day.

My VZ berlina has a 75 litre tank, i think all vz's do .
and if you work it out in miles per gallon its a lot better than the old Hg 6 i used to own where i got a bout 20 mpg.
the Vz get about 35 mpg ,

    hey guys,
i just done a trip up to canberra and stretched out the cars legs as it was our first big trip together. Driviing up there i started with say just over 3 1/4 full. refueled at holbrook i think it was. ave 8.1l/per 100km. didnt see how many km though. then used another 1/4 to half a tank the rest of the way to canberra. on the way back i filled up at yass & travelled al the way back to melb on the full tank. ave8.4l/100km. over 550km and still had between first red line and the first grey line left. is that good?

when i do city/suburb driving its between 13.4 to 14.4 is that good?

auto, vz ssz ute. GEN III V8. No mods, with the fuel guage problem. 70ltr tank, always BP ultimate 98. average of 11.96lt per 100km, i get 550-600km out of ~55lts due to my gauge being 14lts out, so i guess about +700km if i pushed it to 'true' empty

What is the fuel gauge problem exactly? The gauge goes to empty way before the tank is actually empty?
I have a VY SS, my gauge hits empty, i fill the car and it takes 60L. That means i really have about 15L left right (the car is 75L tank yes?).

Pretty much, mixed opinions on how and why it’s out but that’s pretty much it. Some are out a little, while others like mine are out heaps (14lts). Someone correct me if im wrong, the vy-vz utes have 70lts, and the sedans 75lts? If im wrong and I’ve got a 75lt tank that means mines out 19lts, which is highly embarrassing...
