Holden Stormriders
Hi.
Just thought i'de post a thread about this.
What is the latst with the Holden Stormriders Precision driving team?
They have been out of action for almost a year now since holden pulled the pin.
I wonder if they will be re contracted again next year?
What are your thoughts?

Yeah not sure why.
But I reckon its because of the new VE holden.
Some fool dude in a high rise building head office saying oh yeah our finance has gone down by 2% we will get rid of one of the best austrlian icons holden stormriders to pay for the new holden VE paint lol. So dumb aye.
Im not sure why though exactly.
I hope they come back I went to alot of their shows last years.
Jack.

Oh **** yeah.
At sydney this year they had 2 VE 6.olitres commodores as a one off. Man were they loud! like really blatty and blaring much more than the 5.7litres utes. Completely different sound. And were they sideways! I reckon paul goodwin had it nearly full lock the whole arena. When they finished I went around the back to look covered in dirt. Looked under, the exhaust just stops on the doors and comes out the side next to the wheel. And on the end of it, it had spark plugs with leads. Not sure why they had this very interesting indeed. I got a rallying motorkhana this weekend so I cant wait to drive my commodore around should be fun.

Holden pulled the pin on funding, and took the utes back, never to be seen again. The team them self, including the transporter, have been bought by a private individual with a view to returning the driving team. Personally, can't see it happening...
Would love to know what Holden did with the utes... Had all the good gear, Proflex Suspension, Hydraulic Handbrake, Detroit locker...

There's a thread somewhere on the forums, the utes were stripped of their drivetrains and interior parts, and sold on eBay.
