It has no dipstick, just a bung uderneath the car so its a sealed system

Ford did that in about 95, its a stupid idea as its hard to check the fluids condition

its easy, every 100k or whenever just remove the bung or pull the sump off and drain, you can then refill through the bung in the bottom

There must be a filler and drain plugs as the trans fluid should be changed every 90,000 k's according to the specs.

Just a question on the trans, anyone get a click when selecting reverse? Noticed it on mine, not so much when engine/trans is cold but when it has been driven for a while?

    Cheers

    Hi,

I am assuming you have a dip stick for the transmission. If so, then that is where you can refill it.

No, there is no dipstick on the 5 speed auto box, only the 4 speed has a dipstick

Just took the Workshop SV6 into holden to get the fuel gage fixed under warranty and they flashed in a update for the 5 speed Auto while it was there, now the gears change very quickly and hold longer, its much better to drive, I was disapointed with its performance compared to my manuel ute, but now it actually performs really well

I recommend it for all those with 5 speed autos, just ring your holden dealer and tell them that your transmission is shifting wierd and revs out to much, they will then flash in the updated software for free under warranty
