Auto to manual gearbox swap
Whats involved? and what sorta $$$'s are we taking about? I've always lived with the asumption that if you want a manual, buy one from factory.
But just wondering the cost of converting it over?

are we talking alloytec, im very interested in doing this conversion in a few years, mainly because you cant buy a vz wagon in manual,
as far as i have researched it appears to be a pretty straight forward swap, swap over box add clutch/lines/pedal box/master cylinder, tail shaft from a manual ute swap over associateed wiring, remove the tcm then get the car to holden to change the ecu's/dash/bcm program to suit manual, may have to have the car towed not sure, oh and the alloytec crank is the same between manual and auto
i wanted to buy a written off ute from auction and do it that way, basically swap one from the other

Do a search guys there are so many threads in here ( every few weeks a new one starts) that can help you with so much info.
As far as price goes it all depends if you wanna do it yourself or pay someone to source and fit it all ?
