different leather seats, 6 stacker, different wheels, coloured stitching on the handbrake and gear boot, leather steering wheel..... little things like that

the SSZ series was a runout model i think to make way for the VE

The SSZ has leather seat trim with SSZ logo, premium performance brakes, a colour-coded SSZ instrument cluster, black centre-mounted oil and volt meters, 18-inch VZ Monaro wheels and a colour-coded hard tonneau cover with twin aero forms, which are said to have been inspired by the Utester concept released in 2001. At the time Holden said that the ute included $6250 worth of extra fetures. A total of 1200 were produced.

No, its not an SSZ. It doesnt have the SSZ badging, the wheels arent SSZ and the hard cover lacks the aero forms. its just a standard ss ute

there is no such thing as an SSZ thunder. its either an ssz or an ss thunder. and that ute is neither.

Holden were doing many runout models.

For instance, 5.7ltr to 6.0 litre (there was no official series 1 and 2 in VZ but its obvious what youd call a series 1 and 2)

Then there were run out models to rid the remaining bodyshells and parts for VZ to VE.

We have a VZ Equipe that has VX SS rims (all VZ equips had them) and Calais style leather/chrome gear knob and handbrake ... with 6 stacker. Just another model used to run out excess bits, when else will Holden whack a setof VX SS rims onto a model?
