Default VZ exec fitted with SS front price?

Hey guys

Just signed up on this forum, been reading it for a while, but never signed up. Neways i have myself a VZ exec, white, with minimal work done to it so far ( lowered, gts 19" rims, tinted, debadged) thats about all i got round to, then my missus "accidently got hit by a motorbike in it, (wasnt her fault cough). So i had full front end damage, front bumper, bonnet, amazingly the headlights survived? So RAC was very quick to view it, 2 days it took em and now its at the panel beaters waiting to be fixed ($6500) i'll post pics of the damage when im more setup later , so i rung him and said hey dont fit another exec bumper, quote me for a SS front bar, with fog lights, mounts and all the stuff to go with it, without him knowing i went round to my brother in laws joint which is just down the road (wangara) and got him to price me the full vz SS front bumper, he came back with $620 for the whole lot, primed ready to paint. I rang the panel beater to get his price and he tryed to charge me $2000 hahaha, so i said nar thanks mate, i'll buy it you fit it for no extra charge and keep my exec front bumper, which he has agreed to i hope!

Anyway so just wanted to know what you guys think $620 for a VZ SS front bumper with fog lights and all the fittings? or does anyone know were to get it cheaper?

Hope to have some pics of my ride up once its all done while its in, its getting extractos exhaust and cats fitted ( which after much forum searching i have found what i think will sound ok )

while your at it ya might as well change the headlights over..they make a HUGE difference to the front end..they do cost a bit but its well worth it being HID and all..you get that nice blue tinge at certain angles..

tru tru it makes a huge differance but let us not forget the vz ss/calais/berlina/hsv lights are not hid they are a halogen bulb with a projector lense setup, but it does give the hid appearence,

i got quoted 300 bucks for the ss bar at holden, im guessing the fog lights may be around 150 but if your getting it painted and what-not sounds allright

if it was me though i would get a auto elec to do the wiring as the fog light wiring isnt there from factory

this usually comes up, double check that it doesnt have fog light wiring. My VX Exec series 1 had it, my VZ Acclaim, and the folks VZ Equipe has it too.

Easiest way (not so easy if you dont have the car) but open the relay box under the bonnet and have a look at the location marked "fog light relay". If you can see some gold pins where the relay goes then obviously it has the wiring there coz the gold pins are to connect to the relay! Ir climb under the bumper bar, on either side you'll see a white adapter clipped to the radiator support panel. This is the plug for the fog light.

good luck with it
