Question VZ CD Player

Hi guys, lately my cd player has not been playing the songs on the latte rof cds, track 9 or so onwards. If it does, the songs stutter although there is a scratch on the cd. The holden dealer said it is because of the burnt cds i was playing i there. Is this true?Is there anyway to fix this problem? Thanks

Rip the factory hunk of junk out of there. I experienced similar happenings with mine, replaced with 7" touch screen dvd player. hell of a lot better.

The factory CD player is touchy when it comes to some burnt CD's.

You can either burn your CD's at a higher bit rate (better quality) or just use original CD's!

I think it depends on the quality of CDRs you are using. I find that when I use Strathfield CDRs (25c each), it plays fine for a week but after that, all the songs stutter (probably due to the lack of heat protection on these cheap things). If changing CDRs does not help, show it to them with a normal CD and it will become a warranty issue

my Munro was having that problem - at first i thought it was just burnt discs, but i use the same Cds and burn them the same way, and sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesnt. Threw in my new CD i bought from JB Hi-Fi and it started skipping - i freaked out thinking it was busting the CD...

took it to my dealer who happily ordered me a new head unit under warranty - until GM Holden said they weren't giving me a new one - so they took mine out and are getting it "repaired" under warranty.

that was a month ago - and they called yesty saying it was back but cannot fit it again until the 16th - so i'll update you guys when it goes back in...

can also try burning the cd's at a slower speed like 16x or 24x
