    Default Alloytech Exhaust Photos

For all those looking for ideas on a sweat sounding exhaust for there V6, here's some pics of mine

Its full twin 2.5" all the way through, 2.5" extractors, 3 free flow mufflers, 2 high flow metallic cats

Sounds very smooth, nice and quiet on the cruze and on idle, opens up and roars when you feed it throttle, has a very uneak note, sounds very sweat and not at all like a turbo charged fart, sounds nothing like those single one muffler jobs

If you have any questions just ask away

that looks good mate, suppose the extractors adds to the sound some what...you have a shop down rockingham way don't you...?

would it be worth to chuck a similar 2.5 cat back on my VT V6 auto wagon (2nd ride), twin of course with just the stock headers...or should the headers be changed to extractors...?

been thinking of doing up the missus car seeing as though we're keeping it for a while now...

I like the sump guard you have on the ute (shown in the photos). Could you please tell me where you sourced it, what brand it is, and approx cost to buy please. I presume it's made of something other than plastic??

I would probably recommend extractors, 2 x 2" cats, and a twin 2" system from a gen3 and use tail pipes at the back instead of the resonator, the extractors for the Ecotec are all usually about 2" pipe work, I beleive in keeping it all the same from front to back

I have done this setup on a SV6 Sedan already and its sounds smooth not to loud and retaind all its torque while gainin more hp up in the mid to high range

Let me know if your interested in a system as I have a second hand stock twin system from a VZ SS sitting here doin nothin

hey kung-foo, what would happen if i change my stock vz v6 wagon exhaust to a vz ss ute with hm headers?

    would it loose power?
improve fuel economy from less backpressure?
still be quiet? or go drownie?

if you have any idea it would be appreciated

Those extractors look like Genies being blue, and the system is an off the shelf Manta twin. It looks like 2 1/2".

Are you a sponsor? If not, how come the prices are still in the posts? One rule for all.

Sorry I will remove the prices, I only posted the price as they were askin how much it cost me, I wasnt gonna post my cost price on it

So its not a plug, I have recieved quite a few PM's askin me about my system and can they get some pics

    There not Genies

Pacemakers and Wildcats and HM Headers all come in blue m8

And yes its a twin 2.5" Manta, the extractor collectors are custom length and the cats are custom as well, I kept it standard bolt up from cat back so I could experiment with single 2/2.5/3" and twin 2/2.5" systems, hot dogs and straight pipes, I hav been stuffing around and seeing what gives best performance and the sweatest note

Stock VZ is ok to open up, but the 190kw Auto can be fussy, the v8 system is fine and is still very restrictive, use the SS112S extractors from HM and use the stock v8 system with the rear muffler removed, this is a neat little system and will retain all your torque and give you a little tune when you drive

If you want it to be louder and deaper use the SS112S with a manta twin 2.5" system with hotdogs in the middle and a rear muffler

i was more or less curious how the vz ss twin system would work, fuel consumption, free-er flower from extra pipe than standard single and noise wise i still wanna keep it quiet like the factory one but make it more efficient if you know what i mean

    thanks

Wasn't having a go at you, it's just that posting up any pricing for a place you run or work is against the rules. I keep getting pulled up on it.

I know they aren't Pacemakers because of the collectors. As far as I know, Genies were the only other ones that came blue. HM's aren't mandrel bent either so I didn't think they were theirs, neither are Wildcats. Hence my assumption they were Genies.

I know Wildcats arnt mandrel bent, there terrible, all the HM's I have fitted latly are mandrel bent. most of the mild steel ones come blue now, I seen a set of ceramic coated stainless Pacemakers on a 5ltr the other day and they were all creased bent and had 2" collectors on them, they were pothetic, mine are all mandrel and have larg piping all over, right bank is very hard to fit up though, Like I said earlier HM dont make these ones any more, to hard to fit and I had to shorten them as the cats would have been about 6 inchs back further, I beleive the closer to the front the better as the get hotter quicker, there got bigger piping than most gen3 extractors, there gonna flow good when I get a raptor charger on there, if your ever in Mandurah drop in and say hello

notice much of a power difference?
Huge difference, it has solid power from 1000rpm gets to 2500 then starts to pull hard hits 3000rpm and feels like I juse shot in nitrous gos hard till 5rpm then pans out and gives smooth constant power all the way to the rev limiter, I hit that often as it feels like she wants to go more, theres no lag or drop in power up the top, she revs like crazy, totally eats my m8s SV6, like chease and chalk

i was more or less curious how the vz ss twin system would work, fuel consumption, free-er flower from extra pipe than standard single and noise wise i still wanna keep it quiet like the factory one but make it more efficient if you know what i mean
I bleive it would flow better, if you leave all 3 mufflers on there it will still sound just as quiet as the stock single, I have already done this no drop in torque at all, good results with the 190kw motor as well, even with the rear resonator removed it still didnt affect the 190kw's torque but it gave it a little note, if you remove the resonater from the single system it sounds bloody horrible, this is why I recommend get your hands on the stock v8 system and play with that, cheap and works great
