Hi all. Purchased a VZ Commodore Ecec MY06 a few weeks ago and I have a few issues. This is my first time here so i'm hoping there's someone that can help. Here are my issues in point form and I know The warranty should cover them but you never know. I've spoken to the service manager and he doesn't seem to keen to help.
* Rattle in the drivers side door whilst driving that only goes away when you open and close the window. (very annoying)
* The front passenger side window makes a weird noise when it's slightly opened whilst driving.
* The vent, air conditioner makes a terrible noise when on low, number one (like a canary). This is present with or without the air con on.
* The front right tyre is worn on one side and the car is pulling slightly to the left which to me indicates it needs a wheel alignment.
* The radio pin number didn't come with the car so I need this just in case when the battery is disconnected. It originally would've been with the car and it looks like the original owner didn't give it back. Can this be retrieved?
* Imperfection in the rear left window. Looks like someone was welding near the car and a few of the sparky things burnt into the glass. No body damage though.
Thanks for your time and hope to hear some news soon.
For around $20, your Holden dealer can provide the radio PIN if you provide the VIN details of the car. These will be in the front of the owners handbook, or you can read it from the foot of the passengers side windscreen.
Tyre wear definitely indicates an alignment is needed pronto. Also check your tyre pressures, if one side is well down compared to the other, the car will pull to that side.

Did you buy it from a holden dealer, private or car yard?
Try what vy berlina has said 1st and see how it goe's id take the car back to the dealer if you are not happy.

ok to start with you posted in the wrong forum, but your new so im sure the mods may be forgiving
1, if i open the window and close it while driving it will creak until i open and close the door, i think its from the window being out of adjustment, i cant be bothered looking at it atm
2,could be just the noise of the wind going past
3,could be a dud bearing in the fan assembly, all vz's have an apparent high pitched ching-ching-ching noise when on low
4, need wheel alignment
5, you wont need the pin for radio as codes are matched between the bcm and stereo thus eliminating the need for the pin unless the unit is installed in another vehicle, (if an aftermarket stereo is installed it actually sets a fault code for the stereo in the bcm but all the same get it for peace of mind
6, acid rain, my car has it aswell, cant be helped, caused by dirt and chemicals on the window being wet by rain when the window was hot from the sun

1, 3, 4, 5 thank you.
2 is not wind noise. It's like a creaking sound when the window is slightly ajar. Need to give it a little push down to stop it.
6 is not acid rain. It's like someone has used a welder near the car. There are 2 bits of something melted into the glass.
All of your problem should be an easy fix for your dealer under new car warranty except wheel alignment. Get them to check it out though cos it could be more. Keep persisting or try another dealership. I can't recommend anyone cos i'm struggling to find a good one too. Someone else reading this should be able to help.
Shouldn't be a problem for you issues to be fixed by any Holden dealer whilst the car is under new car warranty. Even if your warranty has expired as long as you let them know and have it documented before it does it must be fixed. Good luck.
How'd you go? Have you taken the car to a dealer yet?
Not yet. All the issues are pretty much fixed but I haven't had this issue addressed yet.
The vent, air conditioner makes a terrible noise when on low, number one (like a canary). This is present with or without the air con on.
Does anyone else have this problem? Have you had it fixed? What was/is it?
He who hesitates shall hesitate last.
