hey have any vz owners had this or a similar problem. Lately when driving, if i go over a bump in the road i can hear and also feel (vibration) a noise under the car. i am not sure where it is coming from but it happens every time i turn into a driveway, and also if i am driving straight and turning the wheel clockwise and anticlockwise fast.
any clues anyone? could this be ball joints or something loose underneath? suspension problem? any help is appreciated. cheers

This is interesting and i'm glad someone has bought it up. I find exactly the same noise when turning into a driveway. Only when i'm not going in slowly. I thought it was the mudflap rubbing but after I read this post I took the mudflap off and tried again and the clunk is very prominent. Haven't got esp as asked. Hope someone can help.
He who hesitates shall hesitate last.
its only an exec so it doesnt have esp as far as i know. Some people reckon it could be bushes or a link pin..? Anything in particular i should be looking out for as far as this brace goes or does it look prominent when i'm under the car? thanks
I think its thats false floor in the boot
well it sounds like it
cause mine does it too
DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT
false floor? i've checked the left compartment where the jack is and there is nothing else in the boot that could be rattling around. I'm sure its something mechanical becauase you can feel the 'thud' or 'clunk' under the floor it feels but there is something in the rear i think also. not sure if its the same noise but its doing my head in. cheers
The front stabilizer bar on my SV6 moves sideways through the clamps/mounts over time, and the end section of the bar makes contact with the front radius rod sometimes. This produces a clunk that may be the same as you are getting. I'm not sure that the standard and FE2 suspensions are that much different from each other but it may pay you to have a look at yours. On the FE2, the bar and the radius rods are fairly close to each other which may be due to the lower ride height.
Have a look down from the top just in front of the engine and see how far the bends in the stabilizer are from each of the two mounts. Also have a close look under the car to see if the ends of the stabilizer have been contacting the radius rods. Mine has left a mark where the bar and radius rods have been touching.
Last time, the stabilizer had moved to the left and I loosened the mounts and re-centered the bar. I checked it just now and it has moved to the right this time.
There are collars available that clamp around the stabilizer against the mounts to stop the bar sliding sideways. I think Whiteline makes them.
Hope this helps.
