Does anyone know if the VCM suit is realtime tuningz/
Also the Haltec is a bad idea as you have to hack up your factory wiring loom, it sounds dodgy to me, I thought it would interface with the OBD2 plug, but it doesnt
Ok got my car back from tuners , very happy .
Did'nt gain a lot in KW but torque has jumped from 327.3nm @76kph to 400.6nm @76kph ,car is totaly stock except for a HSV air box.
Drives so much nicer you really notice it going up hills you just keep the accelerator at one point and it just powers up the hill without starting to die and does not want to always go up and down the gears.
Ive been talking to someone from VCM and it doesnt tune in real time but it definetly is way better than a Haltec
Im about to purchase the whole setup and will be experimenting with it, I just want to be fully clued up on Alloytecs, there seems to be a lot of people doin stuff with the LS V8's but they know very little about the little Alloytec
I beleive the alloytec is worth getting to know well as it's found in various different cars, even Saabs have a Turbo charged version
Conclusion,
If your a enthusiest and what the ability to tune and control all aspects of your cars engine managment system I would have to say go VCM
i have constant idle problems running haltec with my come 355 motor, stalls at times to when pulling up at lights
should i go back to factory comp, and get brock shop to dyno tune custop map?
any haltec users with pros/cons? im not impressed at all thus far
