Thanks

From my understanding, the difference between the engines is the 175 has VVT on the inlet valves only and 190 has VVT on both the inlet and exhaust valves.

I don't think that swapping the ECU over would have any gains because (this is the part I am not sure of) if the ECU controls the timing on the exhaust valves, it would need to interface to the valves and this hardware would need to be present. If its not present in 175 then swapping the ECU won't make a difference and may not work if it doesn't see the valve hardware.

I will be honest, I don't really know the nuts and bolts of VVT but thats my take on it. I personally think you are better off getting a tune done, would be more gains to be made, more bang for your buck.

There would be stuff all if any gains from swapping over the computer and for the amount of ****ing around its pointless. Get a tune done which will poo all over an sv6 tune and be cheaper than trying to swap things over.

Oh and another difference between the 175 and 190 is the 190 has a variable length intake manifold

no gains, it would code for all the missing hardware.
