Just bought a set of VE SSV wheels for my VZ and i used the 19mm nuts that i had for my VZ SS wheels, i whent to put on the plastic nut covers that i got with the VE SS wheels and they are too big like they should fit a 21mm nut. So i whent to a couple of wheel places to see if i could get some VE wheel nuts and one said the VE wheel nuts are a different thread. So any help or info will be appreciated.
Im guessing this is the case as ve rims will not fit the vz (and earlier) models. Something to do with the hub centres having a smaller diameter i think. There are threads floating around with regard to this.
Cheers
you can buy the rims machined to fit, or have them machined to fit, are the caps a one piece clip on thing or 5 individual nut caps,
if ther 5 individual one you will need to get the covers to suit the nut,
oh and are you using genuine holden wheel nuts, the genuine ones have a different taper to the aftermarket ones so they will not seat correctly if mixed up

simple answer. go to holden and ask for some vz wheel nut covers. from a sv6 or ss, (berlina and calais have silver ones). and prolbem solved.
dont forget to ask for the littlle yellow plastic removal tool.
couldnt imagine the whole lot costing more then $20
Yes the wheels have been machined to fit and yes i have origional wheel nuts that have the correct taper. Its just that i want to use the VE nut caps becouse they dont stick out as far as the VZ nut caps and they fill the cavity of the rim where the nuts are. I hope the link to a picture obove can explain.
oh k. so you want 21mm nuts to suit the vz size stud.. mmmm dont think you will be able to get that unless you get custom nuts made up.
what about putting the vz caps on your nuts then the ve over the top of that???
it will do basicly the same thing your after.
Just get some VZ nut covers...easy
I did some more investigating and found out that the VE has larger studs which equals larger nuts and nut caps. So all i have done noe is cut down the VZ nut caps to fit inside the VE nut caps and now all is good. Thanks everyone for helping.
