    Default Leather Seat Covers

    Hows everyone tonight?

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with these leather seat covers

LEATHER SEAT COVER HOLDEN VL,VN,VP,VR,VS,VT,VX,VY,VZ,VE - eBay Seats, Interior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 11-Aug-08 14:45:07 AEST)

I think it'd look great in black for my to-be car but i have doubts of its functionality, for example they might fight funny or slip out of position and get annoying etc.

I'm barely half thinking of it but i just stumbled across them and thought where better to get advice than here!
Personally i'm skeptical, although they do look good i don't deny that, what are your thoughts?

    Cheers guys!

mate's wrx now has white ones, not sure if from same seller, but quality is only 'slightly' less than factory, took him half a day to fit and seem to fit great. contermplating doing this to mine when it's financially viable lol

Your car looks pretty nice mate..how easy is it to fit all the inserts etc.? And how do the seats feel? Like do they slip at all or do they feel pretty tight and solid/real?

I'll have to think about it, not sure i could afford it before their offer ends though, still interested in the future though

great m8 no slipping doesn't move feels great i prefer this over real leather as a few people i know have them and just feels horrible [ people with real leather its my opinion I'm not having a go at anyone, just in case] i paid a fella to do it he charged me 500 to fit all of them do my door trims and center console and new foam on the front seats on the sides so i was happy with that, but if Ur game u can do it yourself, are u in Adelaide? if u come to the cruise you can sit in feel it and see what u think! hope this helps mate

They sound pretty good. The customers seem pretty happy with the results (ebay feedback). Would be good to know truly how reliable they are.

    Hey.
I have ebay leather seats in my VY SS. I got them from the seller "smyrna.import.export". They are not as good as real leather but still very decent.
They do not move because they are actual seat trims and are tight fitting and not covers over the seats like the ebay seller "ultimate_auto_trim".
I believe they work with side airbags as the airbag pushes out so much force it will rip the stitching.

Take a look here with photos i have of my leather:
    leather interior, colour help please

Also i will be posting some better photos over the next few days here:

I'm now thinking a sticky on this ebay leather wouldn't go astray. I might make a detailed thread on it.

Good idea mate. I am hearing more and more about the eBay leather seat covers and for the prices, very intrigued. Thinking of getting some in the Berlina.

Yeah the topic is coming up a fair bit. I'll start up a thread sometime soon in the General section.

Adam, they looks very nice mate good job on the instal. Approx cost of instal is $500 i think but do you think its worth doing it yourself and saving the coin? Was it very difficult?
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

Good question. It took me a while to do (about 2 days). It was a pain in the arse and i still havn't got it perfect (it needs a bit more tightening). If i were to do it again i would have done a much better job as there is a bit of skill to it. For the cost of leather + door trims + install = approx $1100 i would say for an extra $1000 or so, if you can find the real holden leather that cheap, save up and get the real thing. But if your patient you can do it yourself without a hassle. Then again, the income from hours it took me to install it would have equated to $500 or so and paid off the cost of installation, and he would have done a perfect job.

Am working on a thread now, and hopefully should be online tonight.
