Default Steering Wheel Radio Volume Button

I somehow managed to break the plastic volume button on the steering wheel of my SV6.
The actual control still works but the plastic cover has snapped off.
Any idea on a fix for this? Can I do it myself or take it to a dealer to fix? Looks like the horn/airbag cover needs to come off to get in behind to replace.
    Approx $ cost?
WANTED: A plain WHITE VZ bootlid (no spoiler or chrome strips).
Please let me know if you see one for sale anywhere.

You'll need to remove your airbag. From memory this may be all you need to do to change it although to unclip the broken control the wheel also may have to be removed, just can't remember.
Anyhoo, doing both is quite easy in any case if you would like to attemp it yourself.

Sweet. I've done the same thing and didn't want to pay a million dollars for holden to fix it. I dont know how i broke mine either. I went to turn the volume up one day and the button had fallen inside the wheel but it still works when it falls into position sometimes lol

Nah, just pay for the part and DIY.
I've got to remove my wheel to fix a chipped spoke later on this week and i'll be taking pics and putting a thread in the how to's section so stayed tuned.

New controls are approx $110.. just for the volume. I went on ebay and bought a whole new leather steering wheel out of an R8 for $300 with brand new controlers for vol and channel... See if they are still on there.

Thats the one... They have gone up a bit though...
