Petrol smell in the cabin

Lately I've been having the smell of petrol inside the cabin and it doesn't go away while I'm driving. Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of petrol, but I think it may be related to why my fuel economy is increasing. I think it may be a loose pipe or maybe the spark plugs although my car has done less than 50,000 k's. What do you think it may be?

Nah a 05 SV6 sedan mate

had same prob in my wagon, replaced the fuel cap and havnt smelt it since

I've had the problem a couple of times in my sv6...found it to be just that the fuel cap wasn't properly tightened...if its just a tiny bit loose you will get the fuel smell

Same goes for me in my sv6, do the cap up and make sure it clicks three or four times at least or you will still get the smell of fuel.

I find to get a proper seal PULL the cap while twisting until it clicks instead of PUSHING the cap while twisting.
