Default has any one installed "HARROP HURRICANE" LS1 8 Butterfly Inlet Manifold

I have few questions about
"HARROP HURRICANE" LS1 8 Butterfly Inlet Manifold

1- Has any one installed it?? if yes what do you think of it? is it worth the crazy tag price?

2- how much HP it will add to my VZ LS1 5.7L ??

it looks extremely cool but the price tag is scary...

Haven't personally installed one, but i've seen the yanks put one on a 69 camaro. Apparrently, it's a bit of a bitch to dial in, but it's worth it. I would think the manufacturers name alone would justify the purchase, although it is a bit dodgy that the installation kit is a big extra.

In the end though, one of these would put a horn on a jellyfish.

I know that harrop is a very decent brand.

but how much HP will it add to my engine?
plus I think it will need a special MAF censor to make it work right without busting-up the flimsy 4L60E ECT controlled Transmission.

The manifold doesn't necessarily 'add' power to your engine, just lets it spin freer to create more power. theres a difference as I'm sure you know.

I honestly don't know as to what power increase you could inspect, depends on other mods, but i'd hazard a guess at between 30 to 60hp at the wheels, that's on its own. A manifold like that is really built to 'breathe', so decent heads, a well thought out cam and exhaust are the order of the day, as far as stand alone modifications go, i'd spend my money somewhere else unless you're going the whole hog.
