Question What is the Wheel Horse power of VZ LS1?

well the question is on the title.

What is the Wheel Horse power of VZ LS1?

I think I read once that it is only around 260 RWHP...if yes then where does the remaining 75HP lost??

I think the VZ was 250kw at the engine, which is about 335hp at the engine. Cars lose approx 25% of power through the drivetrain, so at the wheels it will have about 187kw which is 251hp.

Most cars, FWD and RWD. I think AWD might lose more, but not 100% sure.

AWD do lose a fair bit more than 2wd. A car i read about in a magazine a few years ago made an extra 40 or so kw@w after dropping out the front driveshafts

Thanks to all for your replies...

if that is the case then I think Enhancing the drivetrain will be the best way to get some of the lost power back.

I was thinking maybe a
a. 1 piece BMR drive shaft.
b. enhanced flywheel.
c. enhanced under drive poly.
d. HD rebuilt kit for the trans. including active trans oil cooling.
e. what ever deferential upgrade.

what do you think of the approach?
what do you think of the list?
what did i miss?
