Berlina/Calais bonnet lip?
Guys, will a bonnet lip like on the Berlina's fit a standard bonnet? I have removed the stock front bar and grilla and put a "smartbar" on my car and are looking for an extra 10mm of drop on the nose of the bonnet to cover the gap between my new grille and the bonnet
Whats involved in installing one?

The bonnet dress strip that comes with the Calais and Berlina will fit the standard bonnet...BUT...they are exxy. The strip is plastic and mounts to a special metal bracket that screws under the front of the bonnet. The chromes strip is around $110 and the mounting bracket kit is about $65.
You might find that the chromed strip is presently unavailable from dealers. The supplier for that component folded, and it was some time before a new supplier was found.

Hi Andyman
Nah, mine's a VY. I just quoted from memory from when my son was thinking of buying the bits for his VZ.

nope it only comes in chrome or un painted plastic,
berlina calais and adventura have the chrome and all hsv's have the plastic one colour coded to the car.
but there is nothing stopping you getting an un painted one and painting satin or silver
