Ive read through the posts regarding cold air intakes etc & now im a littleby the wealth of info out there as well as beer & fatigue. My question is, is it possible to install an OTR CAI that was made for a v8 to a bog standard 175kw? If so whats involved & is there... any performance differnces?

u probably could but you'd have to get a mafless tune for it. Dont know if any one has played around tuning the alloytec yet.
it prob is but castle hill exhaust made some but found that they didn't make a significant gain to consider mass producing them.

ashbox, (& everybody else) so do u think its worth installing it since its a hand me down? Im not payin for it so it makes me wonder if its worth installing & paying some worthy adversary in melb 2do a maffless as well.

see if it fits but i believe the tb on the alloytec is smaller than an ls1 and also you'd have to get it mafless tuned. might also run into some mounting troubles as the ls1's have a diff radiator and mounting points.
mafless tune will prob set you back around the 1k mark
