    Default 6 stack aerial question.

Ive installed a vy Calais 6 stack in my exec vz wagon with no major probs; but i cant use the up/down antenna function on the 6 stack. The aerial operates but i cant adjust the height i want using the buttons of the 6 stack & after reading this post in depth, my understanding is unless i have a Calais or Berlina antenna installed to the exec i can use this up/down function? is this true?

all executive have power antennas the only models that had non electric was base utes, tonners and crewmans,

i havnt heard of different antenna for different models though, but would make sense with a adjustable height one

There are two different types of electic antennas for VY/VZ models. The antenna used in models equipped with the "premium" sound system have distinct up/down control inputs, which can be interrupted in mid-travel - the lower end models do not - it's strictly "up" or "down".

(and fitting the antenna out of a Calais or something might still not work - I haven't tried it, but I'll almost bet the wiring harness is different. I know that in other areas there are significant differences...)

    Hope that helps. Cheerz!
