    Default Carkey-remote

    Hello guys there.....just asking my carkey remote...sometimes not working.means.if I want to open the car door using the remote its not working.....so I do it manually.....Is there something wrong with the key?

    battery is probably going flat. Unfortunately the keyheads dont open up easily.. I know there's a few locksmiths around the place that will do ti for you though.

    the only problem with that is the locksmiths use a 'cloner' which means if you have problem with the remote itself and not the battery, the dodgy code will be cloned to the new key head, thus you will have spent $60+ on a remote that dosnt work and isnt refundable,

    holden usually do them for 100-110 supplied and coded, thats the way id recommend doing it

    last time i needed a new keyhead i bought a new one off a wrecker for $15 and got it programmed at holden for $40.

    VT (and I presume up to VZ?) key fobs come "blank" and can actually be programmed by the vehicle, you just need the actual shaft to be cut to turn the barrel.
