    Default bone/cream leather interior

    Hey everyone,

I'd just like to know what it's like maintaining a cream leather interior. I'm keen on getting a VZ Calais with bone leather, but i've heard some bad stories about wear lines (being more noticable) and discolouring. I've got a black leather interior on a Mazda 6, the seats look great still, but you do notice every bit of dust, dirt etc. If anyone can tell me from experience, it would be greatly appreciated. From what i've seen, the bone leather looks quite attractive.

    Cheers.

Use some good quality leather **** every 3 - 4 months and it will last for years. I have had black leather in the last few cars and can't say I notice any dust and certainly no dirt (that's why I got it)

My calais has shale (light colou)r leather and I dont think its any harder to clean that the darker leathers.
I think it shows dirt a little more than darker colours however if you look after it properly it will be fine.
I personally love the 2 tone effect with the dash aswell, gives a real luxury feel to the car.
Heres a pic of mine at 2 years old and I dont think (2 years on) it looks any different.

Cream leather can look dirty if you don't maintain it, the creases are very obvious if it's dirty because the dirt stays in the creases/cracks and makes them stand out, but if you take care of it it will look very nice (like andrewmac's!)

I have had cream leather for over 3 yrs now and they still look very nice. Plus, dirt is hardly visible and I only clean it with a leather cleaner every 6-8 months. I also feel that the shale or light colour leather provides a more plush feel than darker colour...but that's just my opinion.

You have to maintain it, but otherwise it is fine. Mine doesn't really get dirty. I have Armour All leather protectant that I wipe over it about once a month which cleans and protects. I also have Armour All Capet Cleaner which is great for the carpets/mats and brings them up as good as new. The bit I worry most about is the velour trim on the doors. Still not too sure how to clean that without damaging it so I just leave it for now as it isn't dirty.
