    Default Bushes

    I am going to change springs and struts over on front soonish and was wondering what bushes i should replace while its all removed?

    providing the strut top bearing dont fall apart when remove the top piece of the strut, you shouldnt have any issues, if it does any you get find all the balls, clean them up the the two shells and regrease them and put it back together, should be fine, if you loose balls like i did on mine - prick - they are $19 from holden

    there isnt terribly much to replace that operates off the strut in these, i.e ball joint sway bar links etc etc

    the z bar and control arm bushes should still be good unless your car ahs done lots of K's ?

    should be OK i'd say. I've been replacing my original bushes today on my vs , its done 240000, and the bushes could have lasted another few years. Depends on the performance you want tho. the rubber ones are soft and comfotable, but not that good for performance. Have a look at the bush on the fron tof the Z bar. If it looks torn or worn you could have a go at that one, they seem to be the first to go.
