Hey, im jsut having some trouble with my throttle response in my V6 ute.

I put my foot flat n i take a good second to even start increaseing rpm. my brothers 04 VY storm is instant.

Ive had a look at my air intake n the butterfly opens instantly with my throttle soo im a lil puzzled.

Dose anyone know anything about this problem?

the VY has a Standard throttle cable, which means that when you plant it the throttle instantly throws itself open. But the VZ has a Drive by Wire system, which is controlled through the cars computer. So when you mash the peddle it slowly opens the throttle as part of its torque management system. Hence the slow reaction. This can be programmed out of it with a custom or even a off the shelf tune. Making the throttle response much more precise

People complain about the drive by wire, but I can't say I have any dramas with mine - the response is just as good as any cable driven car.

    Maybe it's just the V6's?

It is just holden 6's from my experience. The holden 8's and the ford motors don't have lag like the holden 6

The slow throttle response is a bit of a pain in the ass. I wish there was an option to turn off throttle abuse protect mode. My VR V6 would launch a lot better off the line. I can put up with it though. Plus the alloytec sounds pretty good at high revs and goes hard enough for me. If I wanted a racer I would have bought a V8.
