My VZ Secuirty Card has three separate PINs.
There is a RADIO PIN, SECURITY CODE, and BCM SECURITY NUMBER.
I understand the radio PIN but what are the other two for?

so you can't steal the car i suppose
Chev badges are an instant fail
the BCM pin is needed when programming keys & a few other things
the security code is needed if the PIM needs to be changed
Thanks for the replies.
What does BCM stand for and what does it do?

Body Control Module
The Body Control Module is the computer that controls the majority of the cabin electronics.
Air con / Climate Control
Central Locking
Auto Headlamps
Security (Alarm)
Power Windows
It also does other things but these are some of its jobs.
The enginebay electronics are usually left to the Powertrain Control Module
Its job is the other stuff like
Engine sensors
Transmission
Thermo Fans
Some things interact with these two computers but they control themselves... ABS / Traction control, SRS Airbag system, Speedo Cluster... etc
Many thanks, xtr3
