    Fuel Consumption:

    Freeway:

    Reliability: 0-10
(0 = Would never turn the engine off in a deserted place, 10 = Couldnt get any better)

    Current Km's : 50xxx

    Fuel Consumption:
Never tested each individually. On average 9.4-10.5 LT/100Km when I fill it up, with mainly urban driving and a brief (5 min) highway trip to/from work.

    Reliability: 9
(0 = Would never turn the engine off in a deserted place, 10 = Couldnt get any better)

    Problems:
Only had it a short time. All that I've noticed:

Occasional cold start 'reluctance'. Think it may have been a dodgy batch of fuel I fed it though, and my tank might have crap in it as it only does it towards the end of a tank.

Fuel smell in cabin/boot. Fixable by new fuel cap according to some others who have had the problem. Will get it fixed next service.

    Would you buy another: yes/no
yes, but I'd buy nothing short of an Acclaim. Proably an SS

I added a new question down the bottom..

    Model: S ute, V6 4 speed auto

    Manufactured: Feb 05 (I think)

    Purchased: April 05

    Purchased Km's: 7Km

    Current Km's : 98,987 (I checked as I got home tonight)

    Burns oil: No

    How Much: N/A

    Burns oil:
    Urban: 11 to 13 L/100Km
    Freeway: 8 to 9 L/100Km

Reliability: 9. Only rated so because nothing ever scores 10 in my books

Problems: I have had the following fixed under warrenty:
    AC condenser replaced
    Steering column replaced
    Fuel gauge issue
    Discs machined twice

The only other issues I have had are because it is too low and noone seems to have jack of an idea on how to do a decent allignment, but that is my fault.

Would you buy another: No only because I don't see the point in swapping a car for one of the same model. If I was to buy another Commodore it would be a VE

Would you reccomend a VZ to someone: Yes, but don't expect a power horse out of the 6 and also stay away from any car fitted with only 2 pedals and 4 gears. Until Holden get the 4L60E up to a decent standard I wouldn't touch them. In my opinion (stock) they are only useful as a paper weight... and even that is giving them credit.

    Problems:
Parking Sensors weren't working every time car was put into reverse - fixed under warranty
ESP fail warning - Fixed under warranty
Climate Control Error - Fixed under warranty

Would you buy another: Yes. My last car was a VR Calais so it was already an upgrade. So far so good.

Would you reccomend a VZ to someone:

Absolutely. Engine has plenty of poke, it is comfortable to drive and it is a stunning looking car. The problems I have had with the car were there when I bought it and I think the previous owner just didn't bother to worry about it as they weren't critical problems. Since it is still under warranty I made sure I got everything fixed up. I couldn't be happier with it at the moment.

Yep mine is pretty high for its age (2006). That being said, it has been well looked after and hasn't got a scratch or dent on it. The interior is immaculate. Tight as a drum. My VR Calais had over 200,000k's on the clock and the newer Holdens are much better quality so in the end, the K's wasn't much of a concern.

    Urban: 11-13L/100
    Freeway: 8.3-10L/100

    Reliability: 9
(0 = Would never turn the engine off in a deserted place, 10 = Couldnt get any better)

Problems: Fkn torque management... oh, that's not a "problem" that's an irritation

    Would you buy another: yes

Would you reccomend a VZ to someone: Definately a VZ over a VE Boat anyday.
