I am experiencing what seems to be a noisy valve train only happens when car is warm, over 2500 RPM and is there after you back off to idle. It also disappears after being at idle most times. only in the passenger side bank of the engine it's an 04 sv6
Has anyone elase experienced this sort of thing paid Holden dealer $250 the other day for them to tell me it may be cam chain tensioner or lifters.
the early HFV6's have a holden bulletin bought out about the cam chains stretching prematurely, making the tensioner guide noisy so it sound sliek you are going to have to replace the chain at some stage. wont majorly affect the way the motor runs or do any damage but will result in having slight power loss int he rev range mainly up top
does this tend to happen on one bank of the engine and why is it only at temperature it does it becausee it doesn't do it cold
