has anyone looked into getting a larger intake pipe? [from the throttle body to the airbox?] just looking at ways to get a better low down power!!!
the cars got great mid but is so bad low down.
Ive been thinking about that 2.
On a closer inspection the throttle body inlet hole is smaller than the Airbox hole, so therefore you'll need a bigger throttle body, unless there is another way.

Probably the best thing you can do for lowdown power with the VZ/Alloytech motor's is get VCM suite tune. Removes torque management so you dont have to be at 3500rpm for torque to be unleashed fully. Looking at about $900

Read somewhere a while ago that they make performance intake manifolds for alloytecs giving a increase of up to 20hp
With the extra flow that should give heaps more bottom end.....combine with a tune on top of that then in can only get better.
Just thought it might be more gains and better money spent doing the manifold then playing with the intake pipe.
You talking about an OTRCAI jobbie? Coz if so as far as I am aware they don't make em for the alloytechs yet.

They do have otrs check the ve section a few are running them on their sv6's

They aren't a mafless otr

Ah that'd be why then. Still no MAFless tune available for Alloytech motors.

the alloytec performance manifold AKA CPR6, can be shipped anywhere in australia for 3300.... bit pricey i reken for only 20-30hp
