vz crewman ,rolls when on steep.is this normal?

only had the ute 3 weeks, still gettn to know her,
parked on a downhill slope ,then put into reverse and it started rolling forward,i didnt think auto's did this??.
any advice will be good.also where can i get some general info to read.
2005 vz crewman,oct built.

Yes its normal, the auto will only hold the car on a small slope, anything more and gravity wins against the gearbox

My Dad's VZ exec wagon did the same thing. Perfectly normal, mate

my svz sedan does that as well if on a steep slope...so all good
