    Default Vz 5 speed (5l45) tuning

    Does anyone know of any modifications available to this transmissions?
    E.g VCM tuning, valve bodies etc.
    I cant seem to find any info anywhere!

    PM impulsesv6 he has an auto sv6 and i believe he hasn't found **** all about it either

    ive added an extra cooler...

    there is these, but i understand the bmw 5l40 is different to the gm version:
    IPT Performance Transmissions Torque Converters and Transmission Parts for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and Import vehicles

    i found that site too. what would it take to crack the trans? im interested in offering vcm a decent amount of money (split with a couple of people) to develop it.

    offering vcm money wont get you far, vcm is only the aus reseller the company actually doing the software is yank called hp tuners. my feeling is vcm have little say over what they actually develop.

    look at how long the my08/09 support for alloytecs is taking shops are actually losing business via not being about to tune 12months worth of cars and hptuners don't care as there is no market for the alloytec in usa.

    a gearbox tune usually costs $300-$400, so i imagine millions would be required to be a "decent amount" of money to develop it

    I've been looking as well, can't find anything for it. Not even shift kits. ImpulseSV6, did you only add the trans cooler as insurance for when you went FI?

    have sucessfully made the gearbox go full line pressure...

    but its scary... not recommended...

    tuning would give a more safer control
