vz v6 wont start

hi can anyone help, when you turn the key all the dash lights come on as normal but as you turn the key round to start position all the dash lights go out and nothing happens apart from a clicking sound but battery is fully charged.there is also a high pitched buzzing noise comming from the front of the engine then after awhile something goes click then it goes away the system check is showing abs/srs error . car is stuck in driveway at the moment

you sure the battery is fully charged? remember alloytecs self start, so when you turn the key to start, it will keep the start going until the engine is running, if something is wrong they will crank for a certain time and then stop,,

at the moment im guessing either the battery is old and tired, or the starter is jammed,

the click im thinking is the starter throwing out, and the buzzing is the motor trying to turn but is stuck, the click later on is the starter being shut down via the ecu,

also is the starter getting warm when you try to start it, have you tried giving it a tap with a hammer?

i had the same thing mate

it was just a dead battery
got a new one and it all worked fine

must have been something to do with the 2 weeks of 40+ heat in port augusta

the high pitch noise is nothing to worry about, all alloytechs will do it
however i have no idea what it is

throttle body makes clicking and high pitch noise when they are setting themselves
