Gday guys, i've just joined this forum and am delighted to announce i bought a VZ! It's a VZ Executive 175 and I am looking for an exhaust for it. I've herad xforce exhausts are pretty good but I don't think that a Dual 3 inch would increase performance hehe was wondering if a dual 2.5 or even dual 2 1/4 inch. I am thinking a Dual system would be good seeing as though one of my old cars (vs equipe) had a single 2.5 inch ehaust and sounded pretty mean and loud with a bit of grumble. If anyone has any videos on what they have on their 175 engine, showing off the exhaust note, would be terrific, thanks! Look forward to going on some car cruises![]()
Oh and one other question, why does my sound system turns itself down and turns itself up. Turns down whilst i'm braking a little bit and when i speed up a little bit the sound turns up. Any ideas?
when you start your car(or turn ignition on) it will do a system check then allow you to go into settings manual by pressing the up /down button.scroll through all the settings you can adjust things like how long your headlights need to be on after you turned car off( so you can walk up the drive while tis lit up) or change time on interior light etc etc etc...... anyway back to the stereo you will come along a setting that will alow you to adjust stereo volume according to speed its 1-5 and of the top of me head you can even select off if you not want it. but yeah wot its doing is compensating stereo volume to road noise.
its designed to "hide road noise" ie the faster your going, say along a motorway, it compensates for road noise caused by the tyres by turning the volume up.
Ive got no idea about your exhaust but there are a few on the market now.
Also what state are ya in, out of curiosity?
Also theres another option that turns the stereo down automatically to stop the speakers distorting. best turn them both off.
thanks for all the replies, i'll go through the settings next time i start the car, in about 15 minutes, i'm in vic fyi torqua, yeah i can't wait to start doing mods (legal of course >.< ) and really want to hear how people standard v6 175kw engine sounds with an xforce exhaust in particular, but any would do!!

if u want the sound of a V8 then buy a V8 nothing else compares
lol i know i'm not going to get the loudness, but i just want the exhaust sound! Yeh i don't want twin 3" maybe twin 2 1/2 inch or even twin 2 inch... I would love to buy a V8 but i just bought a house and only just enough money to buy this car! don't think the v8's are under 15k yet... Unless it's ex-police vehicle...
