I've had a good look through all the old threads and can see one or 2 people have but a blower on their alloytecs, but I just wanted to see if there are any new guys out there who have done it recently. I am pulling our raptor kit off the VN and putting it on our VZ and just want to get some idea of the different power levels people are making with a blower at around the 8-9psi mark. Anyhow, hopfully a a few of you have some graphs to post up.

Your doing it again.
im also interested to know, also what changes need to be made to a vz to handle a 9psi blower? if any?
Internal's will be fine. All we are doing is the pacy's, twin 2.5" exhuast and hi flow cats, intercooling it, injectors and a tune. It all comes down to how good your tuner is really.

From what I remember ImpulseSV6 was pulling around the 280rwhp mark with his setup, bout 9psi boost, stock internals. also iirc, he had roller rockers done too, but nothing else major. Hope that helps, oh and that stuff is fairly recent, talking 6 months or so ? I'm sure he'll swing past to give you a heads up heh.

I was unaware you could get rockers for this engine?

Could well have been, don't know, havn't seen the video's. I would imagine though that it would quite happily blow the doors off a 15 year old VR and a museum based VN any day of the week as it is. I know my stock SV6 does already. Have fun with that.
Cheers.

Well all our gear is on the way to get the blower kit on our VZ so hopefully should be a goer in the next few weeks. I'll be happy with anything around the 200rwkw mark. We are doing a 3.71 LSD as well which should hopefully get it going a bit better. It's pretty lame at the moment unfortunatly.

Tim just asked me to detail a few things we are doing with this project as all the supercharger gear is coming off the missus VN and going onto her VZ. The progress so far is we picked up the VZ on Friday. Tim is sorting out the extra bits we need for the conversion and Chiptorque Townsville are handling the rest. The twin 2.5" exhuast arrived today along with twin high flow cats and the pacemaker extractors. Now we are hunting the diff gears and LSD. Tomorrow the blower kit/intercooling comes off the VN and the blower will be rebuilt by Tim and then put back on the VZ. Anyhow if people are interested I will continue to post updates. Otherwise I'll shut up and stop dribbling on the forum. Damo

woudnt mind some pics mate, any alloytech improvements are worth looking at.
Cheers
Righto well there is one that the girl took that we bought it off but it's not the best but you can get an idea. Will take some pics once the work starts on it. Heres a pic of the VN and the VZ. I don't know if anyone likes VS's but I through a couple of pics of mine in while I was here.

Thanks for the Classified, wasn't too sure about that and couldn't find where I "thought" I had seen it, cheers for the clarification![]()

YouTube - Raptored Sv6 run
with 255 rear tyres + rain = wheelspin
Standard 175 + 235 tyres + rain = wheelspin anyway.

Speaking of which, Impulsive, yuo went with 3.45's and LSD yeah? I am gonna go with the 3.73's and LSD and see how it goes with the blower setup.
Your doing it again.
Yeh we probably will, I'll be happy if we crack the 13's. I have a turbo VP lined up to race against for funnies when we go to the strip, don't think I will beat it though.

came across what i suspect was a super alloy tech he gave it a squirt in the rain and it didnt even break traction and went NOWHERE it's like flooring it in a datson made allotta noise but was almost stationary when doin it
Eureka styles!
