Default Removing rear speaker grilles in WL Caprice

Hi all, my rear left speaker has developed a bit of a 'pop' in the last few days (I admit I`ve been running the system pretty hard so I`ve probably knackered the speaker).

Anyway I want to pull it out to at least check it visually but can`t figure out how to get the grille off? Normally you`d just pop the grille off but I (carefully) tried that and it didn`t seem to want to budge and I didn`t want to force it just incase.

Is there are trick to getting them off?

    Cheers

Are you talking about the parcel shelf or door? If it's the door the trim has to be removed, which is pretty easy. It's just as easy to remove the parcel shelf if it's up the back, takes about 5 mins to do.

To get to the parcel shelf speakers you have to remove the parcel shelf. Remove the backseat and the rest is easy.

I haven`t got around to removing the speaker yet but it`s definitely the rear left that`s playing up.

What`s the deal with these rear speakers in the Caprice? Are they a woofer and sub combo? Or are the subs hidden somewhere else?

    Cheers

gah, hope I never have to do that again!

Got the woofer from AMCAP but it took me about an hour just to get the rear seats and parcel shelf out! What a headfok..

    Sounds mint now though..
