    Default VZ Central Locking

I have a slight prob with my drivers door central locking. It seems the button isn't quite coming up higher enuf to unlock door, only a poofteenth in it.
I have to open the back door & lift up the button.
Normally it works OK & opens, but now it's playing up. Any Ideas?
Otherwise I will to get it back to Holden.
    Cheers..
Knowing these VZ's it's probably another secret safety setting
    in the programming.

there is a small orange clip that holds ur lock button in poistion get a small flat head and un clip the orange tap and move the button up and see if that helps m8, then push the orange tab back in to hold it in the new postion

Its the key lock playing up with the actuator(limiting travel), mine was doing it after rain, then came good a few days later, took it into holden when it was playing up and they swapped the key lock and actuator for new items

    Works perfect now

That happened to my right side passenger door the day i got my car, i was so annoyed and everything, but in the process of driving the car around to show all of my mates one of them (who is obsessed with commodores) and said "ah no worries", he just grabbed it and pushed it...dunno exactly what he did but it took him not even 5 seconds and it fixed it.

I know this doesn't help much, but as far it seems it should be fairly simple to fix

If you car is our of warranty dont worry, just take the door card off and put some graphite powder on the lock rods and also some in the barrel and give it a few good cycles, then get some dry-lube stick and put a very thin smear over the outer lock face to make it a little water proof, you wont need much, just a little on the end of your finger to add a thin water proofing layer

The problem is water gets inside the barrel and lock rod holders and the just get sticky, in time my new ones will play up again, but until my warranty runs out holden is paying

After reading this sounds like i just got the same problem!

Drivers side door lock just doesnt come up far enough and cant open the door... and having a ute means i have to walk all the way round to the other side of the car to open it!

So in most cases is it the actuator that needs replacing then??

Was going to attempt to take the door trim off today and see what its doing and attemp to fix it but might just take it to holden while its still under warrenty.
