Hi all,
I'm driving an 06 VZ exec, standard and I am up for a set of tyres. What have you tried and what would you recommend? Nothing special, just the standard 205/65/15 tyre. (I think) Thanks.![]()

for price wise and quality, toyo teo plus's are pretty good in my book, ive got 18 inch version on mine, they are good if you want a nice quiet grippy all round tyre, they are no good for taking to the track though, as ive found out the hard way

another tyre that really surprised me, (i got them on a work car) was a set of upmarket nankangs, upmarket for them, but still really cheap, about $70-80 each, was 'the shit' for cheapies, dead quiet, gripped good and cant argue with the price

i have got a tyer for you. If you give mi your adress i can sent it.
PaulSV6: Turanzas are on the VE if i'm not wrong and I find them a little noisy.
vcstarfirequeen: Very funny :-)
andyman: Nankang looks good and drives ok but i've had them in the past and didn't get good mileage out of them. They are cheap for a reason.....you get what you pay for.
VZ Man: Checked out Pirelli P7 and seem ok.
VBcommodorerulz: Stick with your VB.
I need serious input as this is a serious matter.

Simple. Michelin, Energy XM1+. Awesome tyre. All you need and more. If you want the best then this is the tyre for you. Enjoy.![]()
As an enthusiast, ive had a combination of Bridgys and Pirellis over time.
Started off on RE88's when the ute was new - total rubbish!
Then went to the Pirelli Dragons on the stockys for some time, great all round tyre, at the time the set was around $500 fitted n balanced, got 2 years out of them so about 30-40thou hard driving kms. I do lots n lots of mountain driving in the winter, handle snow incredibly well and supplied loads of grip at cold temp. Currently running P7s on the 16's again no dramas incredible grip, and P6's on the "chain" 15' rims yeah again handle very similar to the Dragons, just different tread pattern.
Turanzas i find go stale very quick - 20thou are ok, thereafter rendered useless, on an tuned alloytec theyre iceskates.
