VZ HSV Speedo cluster

Im looking at buying a VZ HSV cluster and its $200 second hand, and says not sure of the Kms. Could this be a problem? Just ive heard if they are reach a certain point you cant change them to the correct amount that on the car they're going into? Is this a fair price ect?

lol i was looking at this too, phreddy is able to change to the odo reading for you i believe,, can also change the led colours too, you might have to try and hit him to pick it up for a nice reward lol, cause it pick up only isnt it?

Id prefer to get it posted, but im heading down that way soonish, so will see if i can pick up if he will hold possibly. How does the price ect sound to you? This is the first one that ive seen for sale since ive been loking so i have no idea if price is reasonable.

Most with low km's sell for around the $400 mark so its a good price, but thats probably because its pickup only as well.

So the HSV clusters suit VZ V6 as well?

I think they can be reprogrammed by a Tech2 or something relatively straightforward, provided the kms are under 100km or something like that.

Phreddy has said he can change ANY kms dash, but will only do it to match the kms of your existing dash (so basically he won't help you pull a dodgy and put a low reading on your dash).

If you're doing a legitimate changeover, he should be able to help you.

Did Phreddy get that unit he was looking into to do this sort of work? i sent him a message about a month ago regarding something like this and heard nothing.

and yes they work in the V6.

vn2nv, as long as it has a blue plug on the back it will work in a vz, as said before phreddy can change the km's after the 100km is up, i think you have to e-mail him a picture back with a word or something next to the odo to verify it,

Where can i find VZ HSV/SS parts for sale? even cars that people are wrecking? Cant find a single part i need on sites like this, or major trading sites like eBay. Am i just unlucky or looking in the wrong pace?

hmm thats a bugger, i thought about bidding on this too, but decided to wait for the plain jane berlina version

They're not overly popular parts so you just have to be patient. They pop up reasonably regularly on ebay.

berlina is the same, but just plain, hasnt got the hsv and all that, dont want it cause my car aint a hsv
