Has anyone had any luck getting hold of a service manual (workshop book) for a VZ. Have only been able to find up to VY in the book shops.
i have one, it is very very good, to get the proper holden one they will sell it to you, but unless the price has come down they cost $400+

Thanks for the link, but i think that maybe that manual is for the engine only? How many pages is the holden $400 book, or is it a cd?

As you can see, it covers quite a lot, though the Holden one is undoubtedly more comprehensive. It really depends how much detail you need. The Haynes book is enough for the average backyard mechanic, but if you want really high levels of detail the Holden one would be the way to go. It just depends how much you want to spend.

I don't suppose the Hayes has anything about the Adventra AWD setup and maintenance? What about the $400 thing, does that cover the Adventra?

OK. Tried to do the "honest" think and went to Holden with my $450 to buy a factory service manual for my VZ. They wouldn't sell it to me because they said some VZ units are still under manufacturer warranty and can't supply to the public until 2010. Also they said part number VZ102006 was not a valid holden part number.![]()
