Same situation happened to me but after a week. Took the car back, turned out to be a faulty water pump, got it replaced for nothing

workshops have to warrant their work, and the parts have warranty too, as long as you have invoices saying you've paid for it, take it back

I had mine replaced about 3 services ago. When I complained to my new service dept about having to replenish the water on several occasions, they said that there was no glycol in the system at all, it was just water. They did a flush and put some new coolant in, then about 10k later I'm back saying I'm having to put water in it again, my missus even got a coolant alarm while she was driving it. They reckon the overflow hose was not on properly and when they did a pressure test, they found a small leak at the water pump, if it keeps leaking I'll have to replace it.

I've tried four different Holden service depts and I'm not overly impressed with any of them. I'm moving to the sunshine coast in a few weeks though, so the hunt will start all over again...

Anyway, this whole water pump thing is bullshit, how long should they be lasting? Since I got the car second hand about two years ago I've had the following fixed:
    O2 sensor
    Ignition coil
    Rear suspension
    battery
Front suspension reworked to get rid of a clunking noise
    water pump
front bumper resprayed (prev owner or caryard did a shit job to make it look good)
    numerous wheel alignments and balances
SRS Airbag fault (they had to reset codes and it was sweet, charged me ~$119 for the trouble)
two sets of tires (WTF is up with the rear camber on these things, the tires wear out on the inside and they reckon you can't adjust them)
There's some other shit I can't recall right now. I'm just sick of forking out $1200 on this thing every few months. I do do about 45k klms per year, but ****.

nothing to do with water pumps, but mr cytheria above it might pay you to get a rear camber kit fitted to give you more camber adjustment on the rear tyres.
