VZ 6 CD stacker
Im looking at upgrading my single disc unit to the 6 CD stacker. Are they easy to change over? are they as simple as un screw and unplug? Ive done some work with audio installs ect but if its involves re wiring ect i'd still rather not.
Sorry for spaming this section with my threads haha. If theres a better place then please, mods or who ever move them.

What are these 6 stacker units worth? is $150 reasonable?

Ive kept my single CD, they wouldnt be worth much anyway.
Its just a strait swap between the two, obviously when u first install the unit it will ask u for the code, make sure u have that

I've been watching these for the last month on Ebay, and they generally sell for $200-250. And these are second hand.
Doubt you will find new, unless through holden, and they will rob you for one. But the one's I've seen on Ebay, are all in great condition.

Found one im gonna buy. Are there two different colours they come in? My interior looks more of a greyish colour, and i have seen H/U's for sale that are black.

Yes they come in black and tempest grey. If your current stereo is not black then it's tempest grey that you have and therefore a tempest grey stereo.

ss calais? and police spec are black, all others are metallic grey known as 'dark tempest'

GTRWilson - yes, the six stackers come in grey - I ordered my SV6 with the six disc unit, so I scored it from the factory - but there's also Berlinas - they have six stackers from factory, and the interior trim is tempest grey in these.
They are around, just a little difficult to find... Oh, and $200 is a bargain!

Well the one i was buying was $130, so sounds pretty good. But its BLACK! and i have the grey dash. I dont think i can handle a grey dash with a black head unit.
Are you sure $200 is even cheap? Looking at the price of the one i found, and theres another one on ebay thats only at $60 and has been for a while.
P.S. Phreddy, sell me your head unit?Or someone find me a grey 6 stacker before phreddy comes to brisbane!!!

Is there a code issue with swapping decks over? Do you just need to make sure you get the right code when you buy it, or is it more involved than that?

You still need the code from the deck you're putting in but other than that it's just a matter of swapping them over.
