Hey guys, I think i have a blown gasket or cracked head? My VZ is over heating after 1/2 hour of driving. I have a tapping noise coming from motor and now i have just had the service oil warning come on. Is this a blown gasket, any ideas people would be good and anyone know a good mechanic in Perth, how much should i be expected to pay.Thanks guys any replies would be good.

have you checked the pil to see if its milky in colour by removing dipstick?has the water level dropped in radiator?if you have blown a head then you be up for a bit i reckon being an all alloy motor even a blown gasket would require your head being shaved before a new gasket.i know a good mechanic if you south coastal area of Perth.

You might be jumping the gun it might be something simple like a thermo fan not working, your might be out of fluid, thermostat might be buggered or plastic bag stuck on your radiator after all i'm guessing that it's not exactly cold over there.
but check you sump for cream coffee coulored oil first but i'd doubt it unless you haven't been treating it right!
