    Basic's would be

    Cat back (twin 2.25)
    High flow cats
    Extractors
2 hole mode (search the how to thread)
    Diff Gears 3.45/3.73
And top it off with a tune.

    High flow cats
    Extractors
    Diff Gears 3.45/3.73
And top it off with a tune.

if your looking for maximum affect just get a tune. if you decide to do more later most decent shops wont change for a touch up tune or very little anyway.

    Cat back (twin 2.25)
    High flow cats
    Extractors
    Full zorst about $1200+

2 hole mode (search the how to thread)
= Free with own labour (well, couple of $$ for the piping but meh)

    Diff Gears 3.45/3.73
    Bout $1500 innit?

And top it off with a tune
VCM suite $900 (hey! there goes ya government payment on this one alone! lol)

Bout $3600-$4000 all up for about a 40rwhp gain max but the diff gears will get you off the line quicker and having the VCM suite tune means you get to use all the torque off the line too (skids lol). for that much I'd prolly put aside some more cash and just get it supercharged hehe. Drive in drive out 3 day jobbie, cost $7k. Sounds like the better option to me ...

one problem with that theory ewok, to get full use of the blower you needs the $2000 exhaust so it's a $9k blower kit.

I'd probably do the diff gears (3.73) and a tune. The stock diff gears in commodores are so tall they border on lame. Its one of the first things I do whenever I buy a commy. This should wake the thing right up.
    Your doing it again.

Good point monaro however my assertion was based on the fact that you at least had an exhaist system in place heh. (shoulda said so in the first place though .........)
yeah, diff gears + tune sounds like money well spent if that's all you want to do. Won't get an incredible amount of extra power or anything (as stated before bout 20-30rwhp) but the diff gears will make it a lot quicker off the line.

hahahah 4.11's toyota hi-ace van's have those stock lol. I remember hearing of a plumbers van running 11's in his workvan down Calder few years ago. Had LH v8 torana motor in it with I think it was a garret T68 turbo, stock diff gears (4.11's) and used it as his daily workvan too haha. How would you be rocking up at the lights and getting chewed up and spat out by a workvan hehe.

But yeah, as Paul was saying, we don't know his budget, hence why I was drawing attention to the reality of what those "simple" mods people were suggesting, was going to total in real world value.
