Ok so i had this funny thing happen a few weeks ago, i thought it may have just been a random thing, but reading another thread i noticed someone mentioned a wierd glitch with brakes, soheres my story.
i was doing 60kmh comming up to a round about and started slowly braking, car wasnt pulling up as quick as normal so i pressed a bit harder on the pedal, still wasnt slowing as quick as it should, round about was just infront of me and was still doing 50kmh so i pushed my foot all the way, the brakes went to about an inch from the floor and then pop the pedal went all the way to the floor and there was a grinding noise on the front right of the car, car pulled up just in time but i had no brakes the pedal was loose.
got through the round about pulled over checked everything, brake fluid, leakes, pads, calipers etc. turned car off and back on a again, pumped brakes all good, everything was working again.
all i can think of is i had air in the brakes somewhere and its blown it out and i lost my brakes, doesnt explain the noise though.
anyone else had a similar problem?
The noise is the abs doing its thing. Have had it happen to me as well. ABS seems to go a bit awol when you hit a slight bump under braking.
The Noise is the ABS working, as for the pedal going to the floor i cant explain that.
The Blue One
The peddle should never be able to go all the way to the floor as a "once off"
You cant blow out air and still have brakes while driving. I'd be a bit worried about this issue......
