im looking at converting my vz 3.6 to 6 spd manual.. just wondering if its a pricey thing to do?
is there anywhere that sell the kits?
anywhere that sell 2nd hand gear boxes?
also what would be a list of stuff that i need?
thanks fellas,
tim
basicly yes, they are still newish and not a great deal have been written off yet, most of the time it work out cheaper to sell your car and buy a sv6 M6.
but from what ive gathered you can get written off cars for roughly 5-6k,(when they do pop up) take the gear box out if its a ute, or the whole drive line and computer if its a sv6,
then flog off the rest of the shit in the car(seats, trims, and good body panels etc) plus the auto gearbox and motor out of your car, so hopefully you make a couple of thousand back
It's really not worth the HeadF*ck or dollars with new cars, just sell it and buy a manual one.

edit i have been researching, comparing with what the manual says and what my car has seems to be working out, i.e allready has the 2x clutch switch harness there
obviously there is different harnesses that need to be changed, but they are only small and seem universal between the 4sp and 6speed, 5sp is different dash harness because of the shifting paddles so it has safety lock connections
